I think the key here is "NSRCA District x Championship". You should be a current NSRCA member for any AMA sanctioned contest scores to count towards a NSRCA championship.

    Wayne:

This is really up to the District VP's. If they all want to come together with a specific program, that is fine. The problem is that each district can be very different. What works well in one place may not be the best in another. The idea was the each district must have some kind of championship program, and some guidelines were established. Each VP can then bring the program up to the membership in their district for approval or change. That's the way we operate now, and it seems to work pretty well.

Most VP's bring up their program for the year in January or February and put it out to the membership in the K-Factor. I suggest you contact your VP and let him know how you feel. I'm very sure he will be happy to hear your input!

Speaking of reading the NSRCA list. Is the format for the district championship going to be standardized anytime soon? I came to realize the district championship format posted there is just a guideline that Tony S. proposed. It has created a little stir in my class in D6 mainly because of me procrastinating my enrollment till after the first two contest. Wouldnt you know I won those two contests. I though the proposed standards where what we where using and therefore my mistake. I have come to find out that the districts are setting the guidelines. Should we not have a standard format across the board for the championship? I liked the proposal that Tony suggests.

But no all new joiners and even some don't read this list and should still have that info as part of joining the organization. Those that are left out tend to develop a nasty taste in their mouth for being ignored or not part of the elite. Many social organizations I have been associated with in my life have done this and has always come back to bite them in the butt.
