I participated in BOTH NSRCA Pan American Championships (N-PAC) events. 
 The first was held in Lawrenceville, IL, with Mike Dunphy and Jim Fife 
as co-CDs.  The second was held in Tullahoma, TN, with Mike Dunphy as 
CD.  You are right about us being in a squabble with AMA.  We wanted to 
run the Nats R/C aerobatics event because they were doing such a bad 
job.  They wouldn't allow us to run it, so we held N-PAC to demonstrate 
that we didn't need a Nats run by AMA.  In both years N-PAC was held, we 
outdrew the Nats in attendance, Shortly after the second N-PAC, AMA 
relented and 'permitted' us to run our own Nats.
