Using your logic? Why not have 1 flight be called a contest?
I know....lets just not go to a contest at all....
For you, Pattern IS a hobby.
Perhaps you should try IMAC...might be more fun for you and you won't be
worrying about how many people are involved in Pattern.

There is nothing magic about getting in six flights. I've only been to
one
contest that we didn't get 4 flights in on saturday. Four flights could
certainly be called a contest. Three flights could be called a contest.
It's
all perspective. I certainly understand why some people like two day
contests. I was just giving my opinion on why more people aren't
involved. I
enjoy the contests enough to go and enjoy saturday. I've given up a lot
of
trophy's by not going back on Sunday. But I also don't feel I've missed
anything by not staying sunday. I have enjoyed my sundays with the
family.
