Not being a sanctioned event also affects NSRCA District championships because only AMA sanctioned events count.

Regards,

Eric.

Leaving the AMA is not feasable. They have many benefits beyond insurance.
It is the competition stonewalling that is under fire.

Troy, you are an exception! Guys like you are what keeps a lot of hanging in
and doing what we can to help!

The District 2 Championships were held this year without a sanction. It was
submitted but never received. I think it was submitted about six weeks
before the date. It did not make it to the appropriate desk in time for
processing. My main concern was that it cannot serve for as a qualifier for
the team selection. Given the timing, that does not appear to be a problem.

The delay was due to a scheduling problem within the district.

I am the Board President of the local Volunteer Fire Department. I have
noted that when the county wants to buy some time they pass the same
document from station to station and require the chief and the president to
sign it. The process will take close to two years. If they want it certified
in a hurry, they send everybody a copy for a signature. Usually takes less
than two weeks! You would not believe how quickly we can get our part of a
grant application completed!

The point being that the time depends on the real agenda!
