Intermediate maneuver questions

Hey Park

If you just came back from a contest, you missed the best opportunity to get
these questions answered in real time.

At the next contest:
1) Ask to scribe for the next higher class judges, and you would be amazed
at the different perspective you will get, as wekll as ask the judge(between
flights) why did you score this and that.

2) Take a stick plane and ask someone to go through the entire sequence
with center and end lines of the box marked. The visual aid answers most
questions as you do this.

3) Don't be afraid to ask one of the higher level pilots to critique your
flight. Bad habits can only be broken once someone points them out to us,
otherwise they continue because we don't know they are happening.

Something else that may/maynot help is go to the IMAC site and look at the
aresti drawing of Basic and Sportsman. The sequence is not the same, but it
may help to show positioning a little.

Another idea,if available is to ask a higher level pilot to fly your
sequence and explain the good and bad as they are flying it. If you show up
on Fri to practice at a contest this would be a good time to do this.

Ed
