Harry, I will be flying a plane called Challenge 2. It was designed by Tony Frawkowiak in the mid 80s. I powered it with a Saito 150.
I fly at the TORKS field which has a paved runway so I am used to the pavement.

Just bring your airplane and yourself. Somebody in attendance will probably have spares of most anything you need. After a few contests you will know all the stuff you should have but don't...
What airplane are you flying?
Harry....
PS: We are flying off blacktop. If you're not accustomed be sure and come early for a few flights.

I thought it may be something like that. I was hoping I didn't have to go down to the local Ja`niti witch doctor and get some ground and boiled tarantula claws to sprinkle on my wings, wear a garlic necklace or something like that. That guy is just weird and his prices are outrageous.
Sorry I don't play golf but I do plan to have a good time. If all goes well I will be there. Any tips on what to have on hand for a first contest?

A couple of years ago Anthony mistook the river (half a mile away) for the runway. First he blamed his SuperTigre 2300, but then he realized the incident had to be caused by an evil spirit. Last year we arranged with appropriate authority to remove the demons. On the day, though, it rained so we held the ceremony at a neighboring tavern. The rite must have worked! No more lost airplanes and, come to think about it, we haven't seen Anthony either. I don't miss Anthony but I sure miss seeing his girlfriend. Oh, well....
This year we'll get rid of the bad vibes with golf clubs. Tee time is 9:00 AM Friday....and the field opens for practice and whatever about 2:00 PM. Hope to see you there!!
Harry..
