I had exactly the same trouble with the Pactra paint. Fish-eye, runs, etc.
Never did work out for me. The TAMIYA 'Smoke' colour, however, was amazing.
Went on even, easy to control the tint colour, and has lasted through 3
seasons of heavy flying. I'd highly recommend it.

Subject: Re: Tinting the Temptation canopy
I used Pactra Window Tint on the inside of a Venus 40 canopy. Was not
reallly satisfied with the result. It is way too dark. I thought I had
shaken the can well but the first coat was not only splotchy but had specks
of black pigment. I tried to even it with a second coat. From a foot away
the splotches can't be seen but the canopy is as dark as the rear windows on
some minivans.

The plastic used for the Temptation canopy doesn't tint with water based
dyes. You can tint it by mixing a small amount of black, or whatever color
you like, with clear coat and spraying the inside of the canopy. Also,
Pactra has a window tint mainly used for clear plastic R/C car bodies that
works.
