Tinting the Temptation canopy

I used Pactra Window Tint on the inside of a Venus 40 canopy. Was not
reallly satisfied with the result. It is way too dark. I thought I had
shaken the can well but the first coat was not only splotchy but had specks
of black pigment. I tried to even it with a second coat. From a foot away
the splotches can't be seen but the canopy is as dark as the rear windows on
some minivans.
