Harry,
I would bet that you are really getting 11,850 RPM. Are you sure your
tachometer is not set to a three-bladed prop? If not, then something is
wrong. You should get over 11,000 rpm with a 12x6 prop.
12x6 is too little prop for the YS 63. Try a 12x7 or a 13x6.

Subject: YS 63 FZ
Hi All, I have a YS 63 FZ. I have run 3 gals. of YS 20-20 fuel through
it using a 12x6 APC prop. The best RPM I can get is 7,900. Is this
normal or should I be getting more RPMs. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Harry
