FOCUS gear Mod.

The mounting part on the gear is 11/2 inches.  I took the rear piece of 1/4 
inch wood off, and then laminated a couple of light ply 3/32 pieces together 
and glued them to the existing gear mount floor.  I predrilled them to match 
the existing blind nuts, and added a third screw on both sides.  Minimal work 
and so far mine has worked fine.
