Yeah but if you 1/2 rolled on the way up, pushed over the top, then no 
roll would be required on the down leg....

Wouldn't matter, you could do either and either would be a zero, the 
description says that if you half roll it must be in the up line, only 
roll allowed in the down line is 1/4 roll.
