My fear of the IMAC pilot didn't come from an IMAC contest as I've never
attended (nor ever will) an IMAC contest. My fear of the IMAC pilot was
due to a club I use to belong to. There were 3 IMACers, 2 of which always
would consistently place high so I could only assume they were "good" IMAC
pilots.

When practicing pattern it was not uncommon for the IMACer to taxi planes
BEHIND you while you're flying. Then each of these three pilots on various
flights came within 20 feet of taking my head off while landing. Not once,
not twice but many times. If I had ever flown my pattern plane that
close to the flight line I would have had someone chew me a new new
???hole. Over 2 years of practicing pattern at that same field I've
watched these IMAC'er bash plane right and left into the ground, 1 took out
the windshield of a pickup up which was less than 2 months old.

Normally I would write it up as 3 just down right bad and dangerous
pilots. However 2 of the three would attend several IMAC contests and
bring home top trophies. That would make one think they were some of the
best IMACers in the area.

Now when I see an IMAC plane starting up I will land and place my plane
under my truck for protection. Sorry, that is my past experience with IMAC.

George
