Today was a weather day in terms or some rain and big winds. It was a whether day in the sense of whether you would make the finals or not.

The work done by Lamar paid off for Chip who won a round but elected to not fly in the gale after the mid morning storm.

The wind was so strong that several FAI pilots elected to not fly. Some low cloud also tested quite a few. My hat's off to the guys who handled the wind and won rounds...

Tomorrow looks promising and it should be around 87F. The cusp is what becomes interesting. Several pilots have a shot at getting into the Masters and FAI finals. Will find out at the banquet. We will also find out the winners of 402 and 403.

For those of you who wished that I would post more results I cannot. As a judge I do not look a the results until after the finals. This also prevents me from posting the numbers or the players.

This was a long day with flying in the morning and judging masters until 7:30PM (8:30 EST).Had time for one quick Mintor 1.70 test- flight (HYDEOUT) after the sun went down... Must retire now to wake up tomorrow.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
