ST 2300 Thrust Washer

I have used a battery terminal puller that I modify the puller teeth with a dremel to get better purchase.

  For years I have been using a modified puller from the auto parts store. The modification is grinding/filing down the tips of the jaws until it will fit the groove on the thrust washer. The jaws on my puller are about 4+ inches long.

  I have pulled washers off all current pattern engines including the ST2300.

    Guys,
    HELP!!!!!  I've got a thrust washer that will not come off the 2300...We tried a puller but could not get a good grip. Anybody got a clue??
