When there is this choice use the larger size, especially if the runs are long. I don't know the specifics you ask, but I think 26 ga. is too small for your application.

Just wanted to get some opinions on wire size for making up servo extensions. I have always used 22 gauge wire for my extensions but a friend of mine has a roll of 26 gauge sixteen strand three conductor twisted wire in jr colors. These will be running Hitec digitals in a 29% 540, only one servo per extension will be used. I guess my question is how much current can this wire handle without any significant voltage drop, and what amount of current does one servo draw fully stalled. Thanks for replies in advance.
