Filter Failure

I only use Tettra aluminum style filters.
They can be cleaned easily.  I've never installed a fuel filter inside the
fuse.
I use them in fuel jug, fuel pump and on the fuel line from tank to engine.
Some cheap filters had the rubber ring broken a few times, but never for
Tettra.

I was wondering if anyone had a failure similar to mine.  I fly a Y.S.
1.40L in my Advantage and discovered a flooded fuselage caused by the
DuBro 162 The Final Filter coming apart. There were two halves lying in
the bottom of the fuselage with several ounces of fuel.  Maybe it's time
to move the filter outside the firewall
