That's an interesting story. Rhett was nearly unbeatable from
1972-1976. He won almost everything in sight, including four straight
Nats. In 1976, when he won his last Nats, he was 19 years old. This
means that when Jim saw him in 1972, Rhett was only 15 years old! He
was incredibly mature for his age and a wonderful ambassador for our
sport. His Dad was extremely supportive. Great combination.
