Quest trimming.

Ref. The electric Quest. Can you check or remember if there is/was any up-trim in the elevator.

It might well be the CG but I am leaning toward there may be too much downthrust, or more likely a wrong thrustline height. The firewall has a relationship with the engine bearers that needs to be mimicked. The center line for thrust is about 1/4" above the top of the engine bearer. (When using the bearers for an inverted engine.)



The elevator trim for level flight then causes all of the symptoms you described.
