Alignment is not as hard as it appears. My first time I had the same reaction, but found that it only goes back together one way. the suggestion of howto replace the black piece with the 2 o-rings was exactly accurate.

Mintor owners....if you have to use the Mac's header, the flange has to be relieved to make it fit because of the crankcase fins on the rear. www.aeroslave.com sells a "jug" that addresses this problem, but with a carbide end-cutter bit and my Dremel, it was pretty easy work to fix the Header....
The 1.70 has a MOST interesting mixture drum in the carb....anybody ELSE been inside that little engineering marvel? HOW did you align the drum rotor pin with the mixture drum actuator hole? Sure looks like it would be one of those "never, ever, take this apart at the field" items....
