Dave ...wait and see, maybe you will get away with it..maybe you wont.

I know of several FI's that went great for the first ten flights or so and
then went off song, mysteriously. In every case the main bearing had spun on
the crankshaft due to the seal 'seizing' up the inner and outer races. 

The solution has been to remove the seal from the side facing the conrod. In
every case, the bearing became free again and upon reinstallation, the
engine returned to its normal behaviour.

Some suspect it is heat related, but in all cases I know off the engines all
sat between 120 deg C to 130 deg C ( max).
