Ihncheol,

I have measured instantaneous temps above 600 degrees F in the exhaust
stream immediately behind a Central Hobbies high performance header.
Engine was 140L turning a 16 x 12 Mejlik on Cool Power 25%.

Subject: Exhaust temperature

I have a question to ask regarding our 2 & 4-stroke engines exhaust
temperature.
How high do they go up?
I just ran a 91SX-H (FX) with a full length Macs standard header and a
quiet
tuned pipe for 140. Seller only told me it was for 90 size, but
actually
showed up as a 140 size.

I ran with APC 15x8 with magnum #1, extra shim installed. The pipe got
way
too hot (sizzling). The engine was not ran at peak (very rich).

When I ran Hanno 61 with 650 at full length header, it was not this hot.
So, I am just wondering how hot do our engines go.
How about those 120/140s 2 and 4-stroke engines?

Thank you,

Ihncheol Park
