stall turn

Hey everyone.  A friend is having a problem with the stall turn with 1/2
rolls.  Was wondering if there is a explanation.

He pulls straight and establishes a good upline, does the 1/2 roll, again
well.  As the plane climbs after that though, it slightly falls to the
canopy, requiring a little bit of down to maintain a straight line.

My Oly does this also, but have always just done this.  Neither of us
understand the cause of this.

Any thoughts.  This is a plane that has flown straight and true for 3
seasons without any significant changes.
