K-Factor vision of the future.

Dell....whatsa matter for you? Did ya drink a case of Red Bull or
something?
Why are you getting so excited about this?
If the folks that have puters do not participate on the list only care
about the K-Factor they will
still continue to get one in the mail and have the ability to dwnload it
too.
The folks that do not have puters will still continue to get the
K-factor in the mail.
If it was up to me, I would keep the dues the same and make the KF
dwnloadable only...starting today.
The money saved from printing and postage is considerable and could be
pointed in a direction that would
do some good such as advertising etc. Anything but hardcopy KF. I have
every copy for the last 17 years
and I'm running out of room for them...and I am not gonna throw them
out...too much good stuff.
As far as the cable modem is concerned, I sympathize with Ernest as my
phone lines are over 40 years old
too and that's one of the reasons that I have cable modem plus I got
sick of the dialup, busying out the phone etc.
My dialup ISP service was $20 a month unlimited time....the cable modem
is $43....well worth double the price.
I realize that broadband cable service is not yet available in every
area....but DSL is...on 40 year cable pairs too.
As far as your ISP raising the price...just pay
it..doanworryboutit....and go to all the contests too, just leave your
tude at home.
    Regards
        Dave

Daivvidd..

Yes it is... WHY? Just because I have one doesn't mean that
everyone does and many that have puters don't get on the list or will
only read and never bother to post. Do those people not count? I'm one
that is concerned for those that don't participate on this list. If we
were to assume all NSRCA members belonged to the list then how come only
a few ever post or contribute their thoughts? I would venture they may
be uncomfortable with the medium and stay in the shadows. Should we
assume what they wishes and expectations follow with the leaders when
that isn't the case on different past issues that have steered the
NSRCA?
I may have to drop my high speed service as they keep jacking my
price with not any alternatives except satellite. I guess I could give
up a couple of contests a year to stay on broadband? Does that sound
prudent?

Ernest.

My point exactly. Just because those on the official side of the
NSRCA have the modern and fast capability not all that would like to
join or are new to pattern have the resources or luxury of these
conveyances. I believe they assume everyone has one strapped to
themselves or access to them at work also. Ain't so by a long shot.

NO Some of us will be left with rotten 1940 phone lines that will not
support faster then 14K.
