We use 240 V down here...dont worry about the frequency, he wont have any
problems as long as the voltage is stepped down.

You mention sending the "appropriate transformers". If these are the
commercially available converters to go from 220v to 110v, then you don't
need to worry about the frequency (50 vs 60 cycle) issue.

A bit off subject. I am sending a computer, TV, microwave (and a Kaos 40 by
the way)... to my son whose working out of Thailand. They use 220V 50 Hz
power. I am sending also the appropriate transformers. Any problem with the
50 Hz they use vs our 60? I know its not pattern but you guys truly have the
answer to many interesting questions.
