JR DS8411/DS8411SA Warning!

Eric / All,

By profession I am a Computer Engineer, and I specialize in Robotics. It
does not matter who makes the parts, where they come from, at some time or
another, a part on them ( the Robots )will fail. Sometimes it's many parts
in a week, sometimes it's only "1" part in 4 years . . . .electronics are
funny. ( And JR / Futaba and Seiko make ALOT of robotic servos )

As for JR, I have personally never ( knock on wood ) had one fail in any of
my planes. I have seen the 8411's die at the field, even right out of the
box, but so do the Futaba, Hitec and Airtonics units. It happens. How the
company resolves the issues, and services the customers when this type of
thing occurs is the real issue. JR is pretty much all over replacements when
they break, or in a recall issue.

Just my experience,

Van
