Ihncheol,
It's a silicone coupler going on a 7/8" o.d. Mac's header/E.S.Composites pipe. Wall thickness of the coupler is about 3/16" which is pretty standard in that size range. You're right, McMaster-Carr doesn't stock the right size range.

  Verne,
What kind of coupler is that big?
  Silicone? or Teflon?
If it is a silicone or Teflon with enough wall thickness, you may be able to use a dowel or anything that can fit inside the coupler and chuck on a drill press.
Then, you can use sanding bar or some kind of knife (wood carving tools?) to reduce the OD of the coupler.
I check on McMaster and only found out that the coupler may not be tight enough. or way too tight. I have 24mm OD as setup, and only spring coupler available is for 24 ~ 26mm. I am going to order it anyway, but not sure if this is going to be tight enough.
I gotta find one from Korea or Japan. for metrc spring coupler.
Another thing at McMaster is that there is not overlapping size for these spring coupler.
  Hope this helps,

  Ihncheol Park

    Thanks Bryan,
McMaster-Carr was my first stop. However, after 1-1/8", the clamp sizes jump way bigger and skip past the size I need (1-1/4"). I even bought a bag hoping they would go just a little bigger. They don't.....

McMaster Carr is a great source for I think you will find most anything, including the kitchen sink.. They have been in business for 100 years and I find they have alot of the products that we see packaged and sold for much more. i.e. teflon tubing, spring clamps etc. you can call customer service at 404 346-7000 and get a catalog sent to you. They even have great net 30 terms...

I think you will find lots of stuff.. ( big catalog)

      Hope this helps

Anybody know where I can get the spring style coupler clamps that will fit over a coupler with a 1.235 o.d.? The clamps I'm referring too are the type that comes with a hatori muffler. The tubing to fit over is 7/8" i.d., 1.235 o.d..

        Thanks,
        Verne
