Sequence creation is tough....Nsrca Role

Troy..
Sorry to annoy you. This was the first I had read or heard about a survey being done at the Nats. That is all that was stated and I had no further info to go on and posted my question. Based on some actions in the past 25 years of belonging is where my cynicism is based. Also I have been given a very nasty ride by the good ole U.S. government. Thus naturally I ask questions when I don't see or understand what is being discussed. I think you have made some great statements that I agree with many of your perceptions. I don't see all changes that the organization does as encouraging or a benefit to drawing new blood to the sport. I do suspect it has driven quite a few away. (my suspicion only). I didn't get to attend the Nats again (work can get in the way) so reason for my asking.

I haven't been enjoying the hobby lately and some of that is being addressed soon. Had to make some personal choices I didn't feel I would want to do. Will be glad to clarify in a direct post if you would like.

I did voice my vote for the schedule that was put up on the list after the survey had came out. I mentioned that schedule would have been my preferred choice but it wasn't on the survey. I know that a lot of very hard work goes into creating the ideas that are presented to be included in the survey. If I see something that I like better after the fact doesn't mean I don't appreciate the hard work that others did. I do speak up and out when I see things that I feel are good or bad. Maybe part of the reason I take so much heat is I do heat on some sensitive nerves and issues with some and that is what sets them off.. We all have a choice on how we react to our stimulus. I make my choices and have no trouble sleeping with my clear conscience.

Don't worry Troy.. I still have the utmost respect for you and all the rest of the people that post and serve the NSRCA. Thanks for answering and clarifying my question.

Del did you fill out the NSRCA rules survey that was in your KF?

If you did then the survey that was taken at the NATS is the exact same document you had input on! We just saved some postage that's all!

In fact the first time many of us had seen it was at the NATS. Many of us got our KF's there while the postman was delivering to the rest of you.

Nothing back room about it.....Just like this sequence was not backroom....Conspiracy theories can pull us all down. Look at what is in front of you. Don't read things into how it got there...rather decide which one you want! If your choice is none of the above then tell your Board member to fail both proposals!

The leadership of the NSRCA is not trying to backdoor you. Rather sometimes it can't get your personal opinion....

Many people were going over the latest KF at the NATS just as many do at local contests....We were all looking for something new...and trying to bounce ideas off each other regarding the rules survey that was enclosed. The NATS just like local contests is a good place for brainstorming the reason you have 130 pattern flyers all there at the same time...face to face. How many survey's got sent in...200 right...well I bet 130 came from the NATS competitors.

The conception of our option sequence was done with a beer in one hand and the Windex bottle cleaning a plane in the other. Standing in the parking lot of Site #2 and trying to decide where we were all going for dinner. Nothing more nothing less. Del if I would have known you wanted to go to dinner with us I would have asked. Sorry man.

Eric's right when your down everybody takes a shot! That's not right!

We need to get off this Eric bashing. Its not constructive. This Masters 2005 option is merely that....a take it or leave it option. You have 3 choices Survey Results of Seq #1. The D6 Option Seq or no change.

Given these options what do you choose?...because that is the choice...I wish somebody had submitted another Masters sequence then we would have 4 choices....but alas there are only 3.

I hate to sound cold shoulder to you Del but relax man....We are not out to get you. I'm just a pattern flyer just like you. Next we meet I'll be happy to buy you a beer....but you gotta relax man this is for fun!

Its a tough job. The idea was see if we could do a better job....not tear down what had been done. As for input asked for to create the survey yes there was time.....The idea came while filling out the survey at the NATS...and many like the choice of none of the above!
What Survey at the Nats...I wasn't aware of any survey being done at the NATS. Was this also shared with the rest of the membership or was this back room politics? My concern is not all that care are given an equal opportunity to shape and make their choices.
