Futaba digitals

I ran the Futaba 9250 back in 99' early 00'......I then switched to the JR 8231's was much happier with them....and 6Volts is no problem with any of the JR digitals. They run great on either 4.8 or 6V

As for mixing and matching no problem they work great on the Futaba radios....I have found tons of people using JR digitals on Futaba systems. In fact before I switched to JR I used JR 4131's...7100's....7005's and other pattern type non digital servos with my Futaba radio for almost 10+ years...Never an issue....

You might consider the 8231's they have better performance and come a low price......Central has them at $99.95 or less depending if there is a sale or not! The 9250's are $109 and 9450's are $139 in the latest Tower flyer

9250's 76.3 oz-in and .11 secs I beleive metal gears-- weight is 1.9oz

8231's 88 oz-in and .22 secs these are Nylons-- wieght is 1.73oz

If speed is the issue or metal gears or even weight...

I' using the DS 9411 on my airlerons and 8417 on the Elevator

Its a mid sized servo.....(almost same footprint but shorter)

9411's 82.0 oz-in and .15 secs -- weight is 1.36oz --price is $99.95 or less if a sale is on at Central
or
8417's 82.0 oz-in and .10 secs-- weight is 2.03-- price is $114 or less is on Sale from Central

Or another good choice is the 8411SA

Nylon gears 155oz-in torque, .18sec, 2oz weight, $99.95 from Central

JR really has lots and lots of choices on servos.

I run 9411's on Ailerons, 8411SA on Rudder and 8417 on Elevator and then a mini digital 3421 on the throttle

Look into them you'll be very happy with their performance!

Subject: Futaba digitals

I just tried to order 2 of the Futaba 9250 digital servos thru my local
hobby shop. In checking the web site for their supplier, they were told
that they were discontinued. If anyone out there has a couple they would
like to part with, contact me "off line".

At the same time, I have one 9450 I would like to part with. This is the
6 volt digital. Would trade it for one of the 9250s!
