Subject: Plugs
All:
I was surprised to find out a day or so ago, that the local Radio Shack
no longer has the plugs used to make power cords for my Litco charger.
They now have plugs that are 90 degree, 2 piece, which are (surprise!!)
much more expensive than the older plugs with the black Bakelite shield.
While these new plugs seem to offer an easier out for soldering, (they
have 2 wire leads) they also have the possibility of an easy done
accidental polarity reversal. Anybody else had this problem recently?
As cheap as the former plugs were, if one could master the trick of
small part soldering, they worked well. Just an advisory: If your Radio
Shack has any of the older plugs, I'd sure buy them all up before some
Hoarder gets them! (If you like them as much as I do.)
