I'd suggest a look at the Venus for a 40 size. Mine was $149 at Hobbytown
and came to 5.45 lb with an OS .70 and 1800 mah pack, glass on wing root,
etc. Should be easy to get it < 5 with a .46 2 stroke. That's an ARF
that's giving the A .40 a run for its money. For it's class, it's the
lightest and best built sport airplane that I've ever flown, ARF or
otherwise. FWIW, Chuck

Uses an OS .50 with a "black mac muffler/pipe.
Pretty good combination. I don't think a .60
would be an overall improvement.
Someone else mentioned they are a bit heavy and fast.
Well... that's kind of true. But I don't know of an
under $200 ARF that's better in those respects.
