      Dan,
I am using one of Lamar's C/F wing tubes and just cut a piece of PVC pipe, cut a small piece out, collapsed it into the tube and "Zapped" it in place. I then drilled and tapped for 6 32. I have quite a bit of time on this set up and no sign of stress yet. I also, and always have, tapped the hard point in the wing so there is a lot of "threads" all the way through.
Also, Lamar sells a really neat nylon insert that fits his tubes perfectly.
                                  Happy building, Terry

When using a carbon fiber wing tube can a person use the screw hold down in the wing method or are we limited to using wing holds in the fuselage? In other words can a small block of wood be placed in each end of the tube and then the tube and wood block be drilled for a 4/40 screw (self tapping) or is the carbon fiber to prone to crack at the drilled hole??

        Thanks
        Dan
