Weight

Bob, Buddy,
The Silent Majority did speak. They chose to say NOTHING! The survey
results were posted on this list. Buddy, I sent you the entire survey
results, remember? You asked if it would be possible to get the paper
ballots so that you could check for yourself. I told you that Eric had them
and you would have to call him.

The results concerning weight was;

Question-61

Should the overall weight limit be raised

YES = 74____         NO = 111_____          RESULT = NO CHANGE____

and ;

Question-63
Should we allow different weights in Sportsman and Intermediate.
YES = 71____         NO = 198_____          RESULT = NO CHANGE____

It clearly seems that those who bothered to respond did not want to raise
the weight limits. Go ahead and take another survey (at your cost) and I'm
afraid you will end up with the same results.

At almost every contest that I have attended, there have been planes over
weight, including the Nats. There was no fuss made about it, unless you were
in the top 5 at the Nats. I'm afraid that weight is not that big of an issue
to the ordinary Pattern flyer. Most of them didn't bother to vote. So maybe
we should drop this "dead horse". What ya think?

  Bob

  My thoughts exactly. Unfortinately the voice of the silent majority is
never heard, so we proceed down the path of decline and wonder how and why
so few can do so little so slow.

someone was going to do it for you. Well nobody did...To my
knowledge......Maybe I missed it you the emails on this topic have gotten
pretty scarce not too many people have a comment do they?

them...The problem is you can't get a group like ours to agree on
anything.....Look at all the results in the survey.....few were large
majority decisions...most were in the area of 60-40 or even 51-49........

right to submit a proposal....The rules and forms are available form the AMA
web site and the procedure is in the Rule book first few pages.

the majority of the world has other ideas and concerns. In the USA we
control our own destiny.....make what rules you guys want to.....Te process
is simple submit a proposal to the AMA and then lobby your voting contest
Board members.....Simple eh?
