Garrett,

The F3A sequences are not part of the AMA classes of competition they are governed totally by the CIAM subcommittee of the FAI.

The rule book for the P-03 and F-03 sequences is at the following link:

http://www.fai.org/aeromodelling/documents/sc4.asp

Scroll down to the RC Aerobatics and download the PDF file...I believe it has all the maneuver descriptors in it...

The file name is sc4-f3a02.zip

It has aresti and a text descriptor for each maneuver.

This is the rule book that governs F3A and the AMA competition book doesn't overide these rules when flying F3A....Only when these rules are silent on an issue does the AMA book carry precedence.

This is stated in the AMA rule book the green one on page 74 at the top left Section 19. FAI Pattern Maneuvers.

Glad to see your going to fly some F3A

Happy flying
Troy Newman

Subject: Hourglass Maneuver?

Hello all, I was looking at the FAI P 03 Sequence and don't quite understand what the Hourglass is. I have the 2002-2004 AMA competition Regulations book and could not find it listed. Does anyone know if this maneuver is listed in the book. If so could you post the page #. Also does anyone know where I could find an Aresti for the FAI sequence? Thank you very much.
