CF pipe mounting?

Thanks Tony,
That is what I had in mind, is there a strap available or is it best to fashion my own. This is the same way I usually mount my pipe using the lords mount from the Sullivan soft mount kit. I usually just use brass shim stock but that has failed before, and I am not sure how much pressure the CF can take when tightening down the clamps.
Thanks again, Terry

  Terry:

I use a "lord mount" on it. I attach a strap around the back of the pipe, just forward of the stinger. The strap attaches to the lord mount via a 8-32 bolt.

I use the same set-up on the front of the pipe, where the teflon attaches to the pipe. A strap, then a piece of brass tubing to make a bushing to get the proper height, then a long screw to go through the strap, bushing, and into the lord mount.

Never had any breakage using a Hyde mount.

I would like some ideas from those using the Carbon Fiber tune pipes (4 stroke), how to mount. I have heard they can be fragile, so I need some ideas. Thanks in advance, Terry

PS I will be using at least 7" of teflon between pipe and header (9" overall coupler length).
