That is correct. 12’s have been approved for all AMA classes only. FAI is regulated globally and they have not approved 12’s. It was voted down a few years ago. 

It’s my understanding that 12’s will not be allowed at the NATS for FAI and of course at the Worlds. Technically 12’s are not allowed at local contest for FAI, but that is at the discretion of the CD’s, which I would think should not be an issue (but than again). 

 I know Andrew is setting up dual planes, one with 10’s and one with 12’s. I would assume he will take two 10’s planes to the Worlds.
