Hello,
I hope that all is well with you and just wanted to give you a quick update
for the contest. I'm writing this email "In Exile" from Bend, since all of
Shady Cove (where I live) was evacuated earlier today due to nearby fires.
I'll monitor the situation around our field closely and will keep you
posted. Can it improve for the contest? YES, but it all depends on getting
the fires out.
I know that quite a few pilots are traveling large distances to come to our
contest, so I'll make a final decision about the contest by next Wednesday
at the very latest. At this point, I'll give it a 50/50 chance 😏.
