This Virus is just starting to ramp up. With the lack of testing it is not clear how wide spread it is. I’m 81 years old and clearly in the high risk group for serious repercussions if contracted. For younger people playing the odds may be ok. Pattern has rule after rule designed to prevent us from hurting or killing each other so we are used to looking out for our participants. So for me it’s a no brainer to agree with state governors, professional team owners and reputable doctors to maximizing social distancing as a means to protect each other from a highly potential harm. Therefor I vote for #4 or have a seminar the day before the first available contest were ever that may be.

Subject: [NSRCA-dist8] Judging Seminar

Greetings all. I trust that everyone has seen Karl's note regarding the issues surrounding our gathering together for the seminar. It's a legitimate concern. The corona virus pandemic is impacting all areas of our society and anxiety levels are rising.

I would like some prompt feedback on the direction we head. My initial thinking is that these are the primary options available to us.
1. Proceed with the seminar in Wilsonville as planned.
2. Cancel it all together (tough in the face of new sequences)
3. Postpone for 30-45 days.
4. Proceed with the dates as scheduled but conduct the conference by Skype (or similar).

With respect to the last option, I've spoken to Gary McClellan and he is willing to do an internet session.

Without belaboring this, please respond asap as to your preferences and we will proceed accordingly.

Thanks to all,

Art
