[NSRCA-dist8] Judging seminar

I don't want to speak for Gary or Pat but there is a lot of material to cover. We should probably go through the new AMA schedules and both FAI schedules, 6 in all, as well as going through the rules and new certification test.
These seminars are a good pre-season get together and an opportunity to help pilots with how to fly the new schedules etc.
For us old guys with a 7+ hr drive this is a perfect venue, traveling Friday morning and Sunday afternoon, mostly in daylight.

My question is why does it take two day’s for the seminar? My experience has been one day for the class and a day for the flying demonstration if we have one. We all know Gary is getting old, but not that old.

OK, boys and girls we are just a few short weeks until our Judging Seminar April  25th and 26th.
 
Sign up and info are on the D8 site calendar. As you are likely aware, all AMA sequences have changed for 2015 so we all need to get up to speed, thus the need for a two day seminar. We will have a flight simulator at the seminar to help better visualize what proper geometry is to look like. Take a look at the agenda and you will see we are flying Friday afternoon and Sunday as well. I would think we should be done Sunday by noon to hit the field. 
 
Friday April 24th 1:00 (or whenever you show up) at Dusters Woodburn field for coaching and judging criteria flights.
 
Friday 6:30 Dinner at McMenamins Old Church and Pub...30340 S.W. Boones Ferry Rd. Wilsonville (Fred Meyer shopping center South Wilsonville exit). 
 
Saturday April 25th 8:30 Breakfast at Biscuits Café (Fred Meyer shopping center South Wilsonville exit. (close to McMenamins)
 
Saturday April 24th 10:30 AM Judging Seminar starts. Location: Pioneer Pacific College, 27501 SW Parkway Ave, Wilsonville, OR
 
Saturday April 24th 6:30 Pizza, beer, and pop and Pat Harris’ house. 4045 SW Eastgate Dr. Wilsonville. Just a short drive from the seminar site. 
 
Sunday April 26th 9:00 AM Judging seminar starts. For those that want to stick around, we will fly Sunday afternoon.
