Something you guys might find interesting. If you go to this site right
now, you can see Dr Ballard (the guy that found the (Titanic) exploring
hydro-thermal vents off the Galapagos Islands, at over a mile and a half
deep. At this depth there is virtually no light. Really pretty amazing
stuff. This is in real time.

The significance of this is until these vents were found in the 70's, all
life was thought to be supported only by photosynthesis and life should not
be this deep, but it is! The conclusion is life is being supported by
cemosynthesis where life is supported by food sources created by chemical
actions from the earth itself. These discoveries basically tossed out the
science books in the 70's.
