[NSRCA-dist8] D8 Contest update

All,

This weekend (June 23rd and 24th) is the Redmond pattern contest. I hope to see you all there on Friday for some practice. We will have our traditional Pappy's Pizza dinner!

The Labor Day EAC contest has been replaced with a Labor Day contest at the Canby Dusters field near Woodburn in Oregon, here is a link to the club's web site: www.dustersrcclub.com
Here are a few details:
- Gary McClellan will be CDing the contest.
- The field is a little south of Woodburn and west of the I5 freeway
- Close to the outlet mall and lots of great shopping in Portland just a few miles north
- Flying at the field is open from 9AM to 7PM
- Lots of space for RVs but no hookups and no power
- Big grass field, take a look at the web site, it looks like a great place to fly!

I will post more details as they develop but please make your reservations ASAP! The Woodburn area can fill up due to the auto drag race strip nearby.

We like to stay at the Woodburn Best Western, 2887 Newberg Highway, Woodburn Oregon 97071-2822, Phone: 503-982-6515. This is a nice motel and close to the freeway.
