[NSRCA-dist8] Web Site Update

All,

I have updated the D8 web site with the current D8 2012 contest schedule. This is based on the information I have received from a number of you. Please review the information and let me know if there are any errors. The CDs need to get the sanctions in place and review the details for there contests and let me know if you need any of the information updated or changed.

Regarding the 2012 judging seminar; I have listed an April 14th seminar in the Tri-Cities (this is tentative until I get the room reserved). I propose we do this a little different this year. The NSRCA web site will (I think) enable online training and testing. For the training we expect everyone attending to have already completed this process and have all the needed material. In the seminar we will:
1.) review the video
2.) go over the test
3.) review rule changes
4.) review the new sequences
5.) discuss general judging issues
6.) perform D8 business related to the 2012 season

There has been a lot of discussion about holding seminar at the contests on Friday before the contest. We could do this in Wenatchee, the first contest of the season. I think we should do this for anyone who could not make the seminar with the same requirement of taking the online course first. This plan depends on the online training capability that does not appear to be in place at this time. Please keep you eye on our web site for updates.

I have added a short memorial to John Foglesong to D8's home page. Please try to make the Can-Am contest this year. We can and should hold this contest in John's honor and make it the best event of the year.
