[NSRCA-dist8] Contest Practice, Boise, ID

I just got back in town and made reservation at the Best Western Northwest
Lodge, 6989 South Federal Way.
It looked like it would be easy to get to from the field. It looks like it
is on the intersection of 21 & I-84 south of the airport.

No power, water, grass, trash cans etc at the field. And our outhouse is
rather primitive. The field is basically a 700' strip of pavement in the
middle of the desert. Think lots of dirt. However our pit area does have
work tables and is partially shaded. We have a shaded visitors area with
picnic tables as well. Flying station face north. Count on wind from the
west, fliers left.

Airport way runs parallel to I-84 on the south side between exits Vista and
Broadway. I urge you to look at google maps and learn how to come to and foe
via the Broadway exit. It will save you a lot of time and nerves. There are
two Best westerners on airport way across the street from one another. Both
are nice and there are a couple Denny's type restaurants within walking
distance.

Looking forward to meeting yawl!

Thanks! We hope to get there pretty early, we are going to hit the road
Thursday night and get as far as we can so we can have lots of practice
time. I will need it!
Thanks for the heads up on the road status, we made our reservations at the
best western on airport way so we are all set, rates were pretty good.
Is there power at the field or should I bring my generator to charge my
batteries?

Looking forward to flying with you guys!

around the airport. Specifically the Orchard and Vista interchanges are
being rebuilt. From I-84: Unless you are staying downtown or near the mall;
Do Not go to city center, follow signs to Mountain Home.

eastbound on I84 and get off at the first exit past the rest area "Blacks
Creek". Turn right at the stop sign and meander though the desert until you
see a couple houses on the right. Turn left shortly after the blue (highway)
sign that say "BARKS" onto our dirt drive way. Ya'll be able to see our sun
shelter well before you turn.
