Just a quick email to say "Thank You" to all who attended or supported our annual 1 Day Spring contest.  Once again we were fortunate on the weather.  Nice sunshine, never got hot and not too bad a crosswind from the right which tested everyone's crosswind skills but all seemed to handle it.  17 contestants total, we started on time at 8AM and finished 4 rounds by 2PM, gave out the award certificates and most people were on their way home by 3PM.  A special 'thanks' to Peter Vogel for running scoring and to Ron Davies for being my Assistant CD again this year. He kept things moving smoothly when I was occupied with judging or napping......  And to Dick Belden who volunteered to judge for most of the day, he certainly made setting up the judging panels easier.

Also, Frank Capone brought some killer sandwiches and roll-ups for lunch, mine were delicious.  Thanks for the help Frank.

Subject: SAM 1 Day Spring contest - May 13
Our annual one day contest at SAM is coming up May 13.  As most of you are aware, this is a no-frills, get 4 rounds in if possible one day contest.  We start promptly at 8AM and there are no practice flights Saturday morning to facilitate an on time start which is critical to getting four rounds by 2PM when the sun becomes a problem.  Field will be open Friday for practice.

So, if you are attending, please pre-register on the NSRCA site or drop me an email so I can get the judge rotations set up prior to Saturday morning.  Long range forecast is looking good so far.  We have been very fortunate in the past with very nice weather, keep your fingers crossed for the same again this year.
