I can understand. Glad you have work. Things are slow round here.
I am planning on coming to Phoenix. Never came down there so it's about time to pay it back to you guys that travel up our direction!!! Hope to have a good time there!
I am planning on attending every contest this year. Of course, this is dependent on our economy. My business is a long way in the hole right now. Going to be hard to dig my way out of it.
Website is starting to look really good Rob!! Good job bro! Thanks for the time you are putting into it!!! Love the pics. Pics are really good for this type of site!
If you guys can come up early for the Hollister contest, come stay at the house and do some flying at my field in Tracy.
Chris

Unfortunately no. Too much work right now.
My contest intentions this year are Phoenix, Yuma, Riverside,
Whittier, Alberquerque, NATS, Hollister, Lancaster Fall (possibly), Arvin, and
of course Phoenix in the fall.

Troy
and I should be out there tomorrow afternoon, assuming he can get off work
according to plan. There are about 5-6 pattern pilots that fly out of
SVF.

Thanks
Chuck. Very helpful.
Are
there many pattern guys out there? Is there a particular day they
fly/practice?
I am a
member of the Gilbert Quiet Flyers. We have a modest field that is 5
min from my house. But I wouldn't mind coming up the SVF field once and
a while.
Cheers,
Jim

Jim,
I like this link to Google Maps for the Phoenix field (below) better than the
one given on the Sun Valley Fliers Web site. (If you right-click on the
runway and select "Directions to here" Google will give directions
from whatever location you enter. Or, you can zoom out and get the field in
perspective of the local roads. Or, enter the lat/long into your GPS.)

Sorry for the dumb question, where is the Phoenix contest being
held and what is the process for entering? I can only find the date on
the Dist 7 website.
I sent my NSRCA membership app and dues in this week and plan to
"participate" as much as my work schedule will allow. I am
very new to Pattern flying but it has become the center of my
attention. I have only been flying RC for a year and a half so I still
have a lot to learn. I had planned to go to Lancaster to at
least observe or provide fodder for the Sportsman class, but was
preempted by work.
Have fun in Lancaster.
Cheers
