[NSRCA-dist6] District Champion

I can certainly understand this point of view but the NATS champion being
district champion was just my opinion and not part of the proposal. I also
described a path that we could take for those vying for District Champion
by adding a 6th contest for anyone not going to the Nats. There was never
an intention to take away from the participation but I also don't think we
should penalize those that spend the money and the effort to attend the
Nationals. District Champion should be about who the best pilot is and not
necessarily based on the pilot that participates the most solely. I agree
that participation should be a key 100% but if we want to award the
championship to the person who participates the most, maybe we should
consider a different name for the award.

My proposal was only meant as a way to get people thinking of a way that
would be fair to everyone across our district. In the current system,
there is no way that someone in the western half of our district could ever
win without having to constantly travel 12+ hours to get to the more
well-attended contests in the eastern portion of our district. Is my
proposal perfect? Absolutely not but I was hoping to get us to consider
everyone in our district and devise a better way of determining the
champion for our entire district.
