Hey All! 

I hope everyone is enjoying the off season, and has a long list for Santa of new goodies you hope arrive this holiday season.

I wanted to put forth a suggestion for next season with regard to the format we use for the FAI class.  I suppose this is really mostly for those flying FAI to consider but since the rest are stuck judging us it’s appropriate for everyone to chime in.

The proposal is simple.  Currently in a full contest we fly 4 P’s on Saturday and 2 F’s on Sunday.  We aggregate the P flights into a single score, then add the 2 F flights and keep the best 2 for a final score.   It works.  But the problem is that it over weights F to the point that someone could only show up on Sunday, win both rounds of F and win the contest.   

I’d like to see us more equally weight the two sequences.  Same general format… P’s on Saturday, F’s on Sunday.  Still aggregate the P’s into 1 score, but then simply add your best F from Sunday.  So you would have 1 aggregate P score plus your best F score.
