I forgot to mention that if you know of anyone in your club that is interested in pattern, and they would like to give it a try, Sportsman entries will be FREE for the event. Lets do our best to try and talk someone, or several, into coming out and giving Pattern a Try !!!

Subject: Matthew Finley D4 CHAMPIONSHIPS !!!

Good Morning Everyone !

In preparation for our D4 Championships, I have a couple things to bring up....

#1 .... Within discussion at St Clairsville, it sounds like most of the guys would like to Fly P-21 & F-21 at the Finals.   PLEASE WORK AMONG YOURSELVES TO COME UP WITH AN AGREEMENT . I am will be OK with your decision. Please let Peter or Myself know on site Friday.

#2 .... I would like to have an EDF event at the finals, however due to not wanting to take over the F3A side of things, I propose the following.... I would suggest that Friday afternoon around 3:00-4:00 we fly (2) rounds. If need be due to the sun, we can use the north south runway, and face east.  Then on Saturday or Sunday depending on who shows up that is interested, we can fly (1) round where it fits in, or if it fits in.  PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS.

#3 .... I have an email in to AMA in regards to the " Peripheral Items "  that we normally have at the event ie: chairs, shade canopies, tables, water, etc..... Apparently in years past we have kind of slid them in out of radar, but all of these items are meant to be rented from the AMA.... If they come back to me with a price that is way above what is reasonable, I will just say no thank you, and we can fend for ourselves.

#4 ....  I have set up Dinner Friday with (3) groups of 6 around 7pm for Texas Roadhouse, and our usual Saturday Night Hibachi for 25 around 7pm.

#5 .... I will not be ordering plaques for Sportsman, or EDF categories. If we have someone eligible for the Sportsman D4 award, or decide to have an EDF event I will order them following the event, and mail them too the recipients.

I will be sending out another E-mail in a week or so to inform you of what the AMA quoted me on the " rent-able " items.
