The Andy Herider Memorial Pattern Contest, AMA Sanction 10-0088, for 401, 402, 403,404, 406 (JSO), will be held August 14 & 15, 2010, at the Quincy, Ohio, airport.  Any AMA legal airplane may be entered in Sportsman Class.

Friday practice OK.  On site camping-----no hookups.

Registration will start at 8:00 AM on Saturday with pilots' meeting at 8:30 AM.  We need to start flying about 9:00 AM to avoid a sun problem at about 3:00 PM.  Sunday we will start flying at about 9:30 AM.

Coffee, rolls (or donuts), and lunch provided for pilots both days, and food and drinks availabe for others.  Fees: $25 Sportsman,  $30 all other classes.

Directions:

>From I-75, Exit 92 (State Rt. 47 in Sidney, Ohio) proceed east on State Rt. 47 to downtown Sidney.  At southeast corner of courthouse square go straight ahead on State Rt. 29 (State Rt. 47 turns).  Proceed east on State Rt. 29 to Pasco.  In Pasco, go straight ahead on State Rt. 706 (State Rt. 29 turns).  Stay on State Rt. 706 to State Rt. 235.  Turn left and go north on State Rt. 235 to Quincy.  In Quincy, at HiGrade/Pennzoil/Handymart gas station/convenience store (only station in town) go west on County Rd. 70.  Cross RR and pass Quincy Castings (foundry).  Airport on right (mobile home is next to airport driveway).

We will have some signs out.  Please observe 5 mph on the airport driveway.

Special instructions for those coming from north of Quincy on State Rt. 235:  The State of Ohio has decided to get Fed money and replace the State Rt. 235 bridge at the north edge of Quincy.  Here's what to do------coming south on State Rt. 235 in DeGraff, turn left (east) at the traffic light (only light in town---it may be flashing) on to State Rt. 508.  Go 1/2 mi on State Rt. 508, turn right on County Rd. 63.  Follow County Rd. 63 to Quincy (watch for CR 63 turn to right in less than a mile).   At stop sign in Quincy, turn left and go one block.  Turn right and go to State Rt. 235.  Turn right and immediately left on County Rd. 70.  Over the RR tracks and past the foundry.

Motel info----almost  all motels, restaurants, shopping are concentrated on both sides of I-75 at Exit 92 in Sidney.
