The next D4 contest---Andy Herider Memorial Pattern Contest, AMA Sanction #08-0036---for 401,402,403,404, 406 (JSO) is August 9 & 10 at the Quincy, Ohio, Airport.  Any AMA legal airplane may be entered in Sportsman Class.

Friday practice OK.  On site camping-----no hookups.

Registration will start at 8:00 AM on Saturday with pilot's meeting at 8:30 AM.  We need to start flying about 9:00 AM to avoid a sun problem at about 3:00 PM.  Sunday we will start flying at 9:30 AM.

Coffee, rolls (or donuts), and lunch provided for pilots both days, and food and drinks available for others.  Fees:  $20 Sportsman, $30 all other classes.

Directions:

>From I-75, Exit 92 (State Rt. 47 in Sidney, Ohio) proceed east on State Rt. 47 to downtown Sidney.  At southeast corner of courthouse square go straight ahead on State Rt. 29 (State Rt.47 turns).  Proceed east on State Rt. 29 to Pasco.  In Pasco, go straight ahead on State Rt. 706 (State Rt. 29 turns).  Stay on State Rt. 706 to State Rt. 235.  Turn left and go north on State Rt. 235 to Quincy.  In Quincy, at HiGrade/Pennzoil gas station/convenience store (only station in town) go west on County Rd. 70.  Cross RR and pass Quincy Castings (foundry).  Airport on right.

We will have some signs out.  Please observe 5 mph on the airport driveway.

Motel info---almost all motels, restaurants, shopping are concentrated on both sides of I-75 at Exit 92 in Sidney.

News:  The State of Ohio has decided this is a good time to repave St. Rt. 29 from Sidney to Pasco.  The pavement eater has already taken off the layer of old pavement, so the paving may be done by the end of the week.  In any case, we understand that traffic will be maintained, so at least no detours to contend with.
