[NSRCA-dist3] Stir the troops!!!

Times are changing. I myself can't justify attending a contest anymore. Wages lost plus gas, food and lodging and we are talking about over $1000 easily... and for a $20 plaque with my picture in it... not worth it anymore. On top of that I have no more pattern planes. They all burned up on a house fire.
Now I've been flying "evil" drones in competition. I can stuff all up in a suitcase and travel easily. Plus there is cash prizes at all large contests. Last one I competed the first place winner got $4000 and I was 4th due to a mid air which resulted in a broke.n prop... I really enjoyed flying pattern and will certainly miss it...

> The way it stands now for D-3 we have Prattvilles contest( #2 or 3 for the year) this weekend with only 13 signed up, a Peach pattern contest in June, then thats about it for us for 2017 for D-3. Jon L. will try another contest in Sept. i guess, but i wouldn't put on one either if only 5-8 folks sign up. Just seems a shame. After the NATs everyone in D-3 retreats and theres little activity or intrest. Looks to me the NATs needs to be late in the year and not mid year, if this trend continues. Guess it is what it is, but think if we all need to put in just a little effort into growing our District and talking it up.
